When should you visit Marrakech?

Marrakech can be visited throughout the year, but spring and autumn offer the most comfortable balance of warm days and pleasant evenings.

MAR — MAY

Spring

One of the best times to explore the city. Days are warm without the intense summer heat, making it ideal for walking through the medina and spending time outdoors.

JUN — AUG

Summer

Expect very hot days, particularly around midday. Plan outdoor activities for early morning or evening and take advantage of shaded courtyards, pools and air-conditioned spaces.

SEP — NOV

Autumn

Another excellent period to visit. Temperatures gradually become more comfortable, while the city remains lively and atmospheric.

DEC — FEB

Winter

Mild and generally pleasant during the day, with cooler evenings. It is a great season for exploring the city and enjoying quieter moments.

Our pick: April–May and October–November for a comfortable combination of weather, sightseeing and outdoor experiences.

Make the city part of the experience

Where to Stay

For the most atmospheric experience, consider staying inside or close to the medina. Traditional riads offer intimate courtyards, rooftop terraces and a very different experience from large hotels.

What to Eat

Make time for traditional Moroccan dishes, fresh salads, slow-cooked tagines, couscous, pastries and of course a glass of Moroccan mint tea. Marrakech is a city worth exploring through its food.
